KARS Rideau Ski Fly In
Saturday, March 3. Kars Chapter 4928 will hosts its Annual Ski Fly-in event at the CPL3 field on Dilworth Road, just East of Highway 416. Com is 123.4, runway orientation is 26 - 08, GPS N 045, 06, W 075, 38. Homestyle food will be served from 11 am to 2 pm in the RAA Chapter's new clubhouse. The public is welcome to attend. Tiger Moth Rib Building Workshop
March 8th, 7:00 - 9:00 The CAHS, Brandon Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum and Brandon and Winnipeg RAA Chapters are hosting a presentation on the history of the CATP Museum's Tiger Moth with a first hand look at the wings currently under restoration in the RAA Workshop in Winnipeg at the Lyncrest Airport. Participants will be able to try their hand at making a Tiger Moth rib in a jig and putting the first coat of epoxy varnish on the ribs and spars of the lower left wing. Goulet Aircraft Supply is generously contributing supplies for this workshop.
Fabric Workshop
March 15th, 7:00 - 9:00 Brandon Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum and Brandon and Winnipeg RAA Chapters are hosting a presentation on Aircraft Fabric. Rib stitching work stations will be set up for individuals interested in learning first hand how to stitch and knot. Aircraft builders with experience using fabric will be applying fabric directly to the Museum's Tiger Moth wings currently under restoration in the RAA Workshop in Winnipeg at the Lyncrest Airport. Goulet Aircraft Supply is generously contributing supplies for this workshop.

April 21st, 9:30 - Noon The Winnipeg Area RAA Chapter is hosting a project tour, with special invitation to the members of the Brandon RAA Chapter. The tour will focus on a group of exceptional builders located in the Stonwall, MB area. Projects include:

Winnipeg Learn To Land Seminar
Harv's Air, RAA and SFC are co-sponsoring the "Learn to Land Course" designed to ensure passengers are confident being able to land the family plane in the event their pilot has a medical emergency. The course begins with a ground school, April 13 and 20th from 7:00 - 9:00 at the Lyncrest Flight Centre. To register contact jill_oakes@umanitoba.ca

Chatham Seminar, Brekkie and TC Safety Seminar
May 26, Chatham, ON (CNZ3): Breakfast/TC Safety Seminar/Fly Market. The Kent Flying Machines branch of the R.A.A, is pleased to present the 10th Annual Fly-In/Drive-In/Walk-In Breakfast, with a TC Safety Seminar, and Fly Market at the Chatham Airport (CNZ3). Breakfast ($6.00) starts at 8:30 with the TC presentation scheduled for 10:00. The Fly market will be open during breakfast and after the TC presentation. Lunch will also be available. Come and join us in a day of commeradie, increased aviation knowledge, and brousing the Fly-Market. Bring your spare items for sale, tagged and priced. Flamborough Chapter Family and Friends BBQ
June 15 - Friday - 5 pm - Dusk. Family & Friends Bar B-Q. If flying in to our grass field, field elevation is 840 ft. 43 22.25 N 79 55.95W. Circuit height 1,000 ft. and ALL circuits must be to the EAST of the field. If driving, take Hwy 6 North from Hamilton to Conc 6 East. Turn right at the corner and proceed East to Flamborough Centre and Centre Road. Cross and continue on East for 1/4 mile to railroad tracks. Cross tracks and after 50 yards take the first laneway to the left (Flamborough Springs). Follow lane North through the woods to the hangars. There are no signs. Everyone welcome.
